Truman, Stalin and Churchill, replaced midway by Clement Attlee after Britain's election, met at Cecilienhof palace to decide the future of defeated Germany. They agreed on occupation, disarmament and denazification, placed German lands east of the Oder and Neisse under Polish administration and approved the removal of millions of Germans from eastern Europe. A declaration demanding Japan's surrender was issued from Potsdam.
