Summoned to Nuremberg during the 1935 party rally, in its only session held outside Berlin under Nazi rule, the Reichstag passed two laws that stripped German Jews of citizenship and banned marriage between Jews and other Germans. In November the rules were extended to Roma and Black Germans. In Nuremberg itself, the main synagogue was demolished on Julius Streicher's orders in August 1938.
